A healthy dose of life
Growing up in Vršac, surrounded by the love and support of my family from early childhood, with constant encouragement to spend time in nature, it was completely expected that walks on the Vršac hill and cycling would become my routine. As a young gymnast at the ’Partizan’ school, I discovered the excitement of pushing the limits, striving for perfection with every movement I made, but when I first sat on a bike, I realized that it would be my motivation to win over myself and improve my vitality.

Cycling has helped me meet different people with whom I share the same passion for a healthy lifestyle, adventure and being in nature, and the place where I work, Hemofarm, a member of the STADA group, constantly reminds and encourages us to take care of our health, push the limits and accept challenges. Actions for employees are very often organized in which I gladly participate, so owing to that I discovered an actual small community of healthy lifestyle lovers. Last year, I joined the STADA challenge, I put on my sneakers and for 9 weeks, together with 4000 of my colleagues from all over the world, I collected steps and kilometres and competed for the first place in the group. It was not always easy, but the collective spirit won, and the joy of having achieved the goal remained the motive to join the next action.

In today's world of busy schedules, a world that constantly strives for efficiency and productivity, we need ‘me time’. Finding a balance between professional engagement and personal well-being is becoming increasingly important. For me, each step towards a healthier life is a victory worth celebrating, especially when it's hard for me to get moving after a hard day. At those times, when it seems that I can't and that I would rather stay at home, I find strength and go out. Those small victories over yourself are the most difficult and most important and I often remember them when I find myself in a situation where I would like to quit and give up, because as ‘Forrest Gump’, the film hero portrayed by Tom Hanks in the eponymous film, wisely said: ‘Life is like a pair of walking shoes – you never know where they'll take you.’ Let those words encourage you to find time for yourself because precisely that time can help you be content in both your professional and your personal life.
