Hemofarm Awarded for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development

The leading position in the region, exports to 38 countries worldwide, competitiveness in terms of quality and price, and at the same time care for the environment, respect for human rights and rational use or renewable and all available resources and a high degree of responsibility towards society and local community, are the best recommendation of Hemofarm for this award. 

The commission consisting of university professors and economic consultants agree in their assessment that the Serbian pharmaceutical leader has met all the criteria and deservedly won the award.  Through its operations as a German investment with Serbian tradition, Hemofarm best reflects the spirit of the Danube Business Forum. The award was received on behalf of the company by Natalija Popović, Director of Strategy and Sustainable Development.  

’After receiving the highest  GRI mark A+ for business operations in accordance with the sustainable development principles, this award is further proof that we in Hemofarm live and work just as an inseparable part of our environment that we actively preserve and continuously improve. Our goal in the upcoming period is, while taking care of our joint future, to intensify the dialogue with interested parties so that we could leave a more beautiful, better and healthier environment as a legacy for the generations to come’ - Natalija Popović said and added that the Danube is an important link for all 14 countries that collaborate and conduct business in the Danube Region. 

Implementation of the Danube strategy is essential for efficient connecting of people, ideas, markets, building of entrepreneurial spirit and exchange of cultural goods. Hemofarm is the best example and ambassador among them.

These are the things that make it a leader of competitiveness and sustainable development’ - Marija Vujaković said, Director of the Centre for Business Standardization and Certification, one of the  organizers of the event, together with 'Media Invent and the Provincial Government of AP Vojvodina.

The Danube Business Forum brought together more than 500 business people, scientists and experts in different fields from all countries in the Danube Region.

The aim of the Forum is to present the potentials of Serbia to the international public as one of the most desirable destinations for investments, improve cooperation with other Danubian countries, strengthen the entrepreneurial initiative and development of infrastructure and energy system.
