24. April 2015.
Hemofarm is the winner of the first prize - special ’April 28th’ recognition for commitment to occupational safety and health skills and spreading the culture of prevention, which is awarded by the Occupational Safety and Health Administation of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran Care and Social Issues in the Government of Serbia.

Milan Smoljanović, Director of Hemofarm General Affairs Division, received the recognition on behalf of Hemofarm at the ceremony organized in the House of the Army of Serbia, which was opened by the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran Care and Social Issues, Aleksandar Vulin.

It is my honour to receive, on behalf of Hemofarm, the highest state recognition for safety and health at work, in confirmation of corporate responsibility and efforts to continuosly care about the health and safety of our workers, in line with the global standards. Protection against injuries and occupational diseases in Hemofarm is not stipulated only by regulations, but it is rather focused on each employee individually, which has also resulted in the fact that we do not have any employees with any occupational diseases in the company, and the number of injuries at work is minimal’, Milan Smoljanović pointed out.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administation traditionally awards recognitions to legal entities, entrepreneurs and individuals on April 28th, the World Day of Safety and Health at Work. Hemofarm has received the award ’April 28th’ for the second time. Just to remind you, Hemofarm was the winner of the second ’April 28th’ award in the category of companies with more than 250 employees two years ago.

Hemofarm implements the leading global environmental protection and occupational safety and health protection management standards. The highest level of safety for more than 2500 employees is confirmed also through introduction of the OHSAS 18001 standard.
