Hemofarm – An Example of Good Practice of Care for Employees

Within the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy organized the conference Stress Management at Work at which Hemofarm was presented as an example of good practice of care for employees and stress prevention.

Mariora Andraš Tomić, Director of Hemofarm Human Resources Division, spoke on the topic of stress management and preventive actions in our company.The stress at work in Serbia, like in most countries in transition, is much more intensive, primarily because of financial insecurity and fear from loss of job. Consequently, Hemofarm has been emphasized as the company which in terms of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) (leading business oriented initiative for companies dedicated to improvement of work conditions of employees and business environment as a whole, by promoting socially responsible business operations) scored 97.56 % measured by the SGS company, which is the best result achieved by a company from Serbia.

The conference was opened by Aleksandar Vulin, the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, within the current campaign across Europe aimed at informing experts from the area of safety and health at work about the manner and tools for overcoming stress at work place.
