Humanity in Action: Hemofarm Joins the Global Caring Day Initiative
09. December 2025.
More than 230 Hemofarm employees in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro took part in the voluntary blood donation campaign within the global Caring Day initiative organized for the third time by STADA Group.

This initiative is a segment of the company's purpose of caring for people's health and represents an additional act of support for the communities where STADA operates. Hemofarm employees in Serbia donated blood in an organized manner in Belgrade, Vršac, and Šabac, promoting donation as an ultimate act of humanity.

Ronald Seeliger, Hemofarm CEO, has emphasized that the Caring Day is yet another evidence of Hemofarm’s care for the community in which it operates.

‘We are proud of our employees who show, through their actions, what it means to be responsible and compassionate. Voluntary blood donation is an act that saves lives, and Hemofarm will continue to support such initiatives as they lie in the heart of our mission,’ said Seeliger.

The Hemofarm’s Voluntary Blood Donor Section, which has around 970 members, has organized more than 180 campaigns and collected over 8,000 units of blood since 2005 to date.

Julijana Tokin, a Hemofarm employee and the head of the Voluntary Blood Donor Section in Vršac, has been a donor again this year. She has donated blood an impressive 39 times so far.

‘For me, donating blood is a way to help those who need it the most. Every unit of blood can save someone's life, and that is the greatest motivation for me to keep doing it,’ said Julijana Tokin.

Slobodan Makarić, a Hemofarm associate in Banja Luka, has joined the Caring Day initiative this year as well. He has donated blood a total of six times so far, consistently demonstrating his commitment to solidarity and humanity.

‘My motivation for voluntary blood donation is the desire to help someone and do something beneficial for the community. For me, voluntary blood donation means life,’ stated Slobodan Makarić.

The employees from more than 20 countries took part in this year’s global Caring Day initiative organized by STADA Group.
