Belgrade gets a mural dedicated to Mother Nature

A new mural celebrating Mother Nature and promoting the principles of sustainable development has appeared in Belgrade. Located between Prote Mateje and Braće Nedića Streets in the Vračar neighborhood, this vibrant composition, painted on the façade of a building, depicts the Tree of Life whose branches bear symbols of health, recycling, togetherness, and energy—the values forming the foundation of ecological awareness and responsible behavior. In the background, motifs of nature, houses, and a wind turbine symbolize harmony between people and their environment.

“We wanted to show through art how connected we are to nature and how important it is to protect it. Every color and symbol in the mural carries a message. Health, energy, togetherness, and recycling are the cornerstones of a sustainable world,” said mural artist TKV.

The project’s initiator is the company Hemofarm, which has for many years promoted the principles of sustainable development and responsible business.

“Our mission is to inspire people to recognize their role in preserving nature. This mural is a reminder that human health and the planet’s health go hand in hand,” Hemofarm representatives stated.

Not only has this project enhanced the urban space in the city center, but it also inspires passersby to reflect on their habits and contribution to protecting the environment. Belgrade now has a mural that brings together art and activism, sending a powerful message that nature is the shared home of all citizens and must therefore be safeguarded by everyone.
