Hemofarm Foundation has introduced the new generation of scholarship holders for the 2024/2025 academic year, coming from faculties or medicine, pharmacy, technology, biology, as well as electrical engineering and mechanical engineering in Serbia.
This year, nearly 100 candidates applied for the 10 Hemofarm Foundation scholarships. These candidates have average grades above 9 and are in their final year of studies at state universities in Serbia. The YOU CAN DO IT Program for Education, within which the scholarship program is included, is very intensive and encompasses nearly 30 lectures on personal and professional development, a three-week internship at the plant in Vršac – which has one of the most modern manufacturing facilities and laboratories in this part of Europe, as well as participation in socially responsible actions of Hemofarm Foundation.
‘I am happy that year after year, we have the opportunity to support young talents who stand out as the best in their generation. This support, especially during their student days, can be crucial for their development. I am sure that each of them will become an exceptional professional, and I sincerely hope that many of them will decide to stay in Serbia. Hemofarm will always be a place where their ambitions and potentials are welcome,’ said Ronald Seeliger, CEO of the Hemofarm Group, who spoke to the scholars about his career path.
The Hemofarm Foundation scholarship, which has been awarded for 32 years and has so far supported more than 3,800 students, provides young people with the opportunity to continue their education, acquire knowledge and practical skills through mentoring and internship at Hemofarm, a member of the STADA Group. These skills help them prepare for work in a multinational company and on a dynamic labour market.
‘In addition to opening the door for these exceptional young people to take their first professional steps at Hemofarm and learn from the best in the industry, through our social responsibility programs, which focus on health, education, and culture, together with the scholarship holders we care for people's health, encourage responsibility and solidarity in the community, and promote respect for diversity and freedom of expression – these are all values we consider to be the foundations of any healthy society, as well as a healthy and successful company," said Suzana Đorđević, Director of Hemofarm Foundation, welcoming the new 32nd generation of scholarship holders.
Since 1993, Hemofarm Foundation has supported more than 3,850 young people, many of whom are employed at Hemofarm and are now leading experts in their fields. In addition to the top 10 students, the scholarship program also includes support for the children of Hemofarm Group employees who are studying at universities in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
