THE FIRST ESG FESTIVAL SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZATED BY HEMOFARM
25. October 2024.
Hemofarm, in cooperation with the University of Belgrade, has organized the first ESG festival that has been held at Studentki grad in Novi Beograd this week. In addition to having an opportunity to attend numerous panel sessions and round tables, students and visitors of the ESG festival can also visit ‘STADA Expo’, the first multimedia interactive exhibition dedicated to sustainable development.

On this occasion, at the plateau of Studentski grad, the CEO of Hemofarm, Ronald Seeliger, has emphasized that sustainable development is our common responsibility and that companies, institutions, and the entire society must work in synergy for the future of all of us.

- Only with an open mind can we not only move forward, but also go back when we want to change something that was not good. Numerous companies, institutions, and organizations supported the ESG festival, and we have all made effort to understand what we can do. Today, we are presenting the 12th Sustainability Report, representing the Hemofarm's testimonial on its ESG journey. We have set out on that journey taking small steps, and today we can boast of many initiatives within each segment of sustainability, Seeliger said.

Ronald Seeliger has also pointed out that the location of the ESG festival is the right place to start educating young people, who are our future.

‘It’s a great privilege to be here among students, and we are proud to have the University of Belgrade as our partner in this project. This is neither just the beginning nor the culmination of all sustainability-related activities; this is just one step on our journey’, Seeliger pointed out.

The Rector of the University of Belgrade, Prof. Vladan Đokić, PhD, has expressed his gratitude that this exhibition, along with the accompanying panel sessions and lectures within the ESG festival, is held in the heart of Studentski grad, where four to five thousand students have the opportunity to see modern technologies and approaches to sustainability, thus shaping their future professional path.

- On behalf of the University of Belgrade, I express my gratitude to Hemofarm for recognizing us as a partner in a project that makes the students and the public in general better acquainted with the importance of sustainable development and preserving health. Hemofarm's exhibition, set up in modern interactive pavilions made from recycled containers, showcases how sustainability can be achieved through material reuse and innovation. I would like to point out that one of the segments of this project emphasizes the significance and importance of prevention, which should encourage young generations to understand that we are all managers of our own health, and that prevention plays a key role in protecting the health of the community. Hemofarm already provides scholarships and employment opportunities for many students from our faculties, and many graduates find their place in Hemofarm, where they have a chance to develop professionally, Đokić pointed out.

The 12-hour program, including nine panel sessions and three round tables, which were an excellent platform for open and constructive dialogue, was organized over the course of the first three days of the ESG festival. More than 65 experts from 50 companies, institutions, and organizations shared their opinions and professional perspectives, providing visitors with insights into practical knowledge of sustainable development.

Hemofarm Presented 12th Sustainability Report
Ronald Seeliger has pointed out that the 12th Sustainability Report is ‘the Hemofarm’s testimonial on its sustainability journey’.

‘We recorded about ten percent higher production in 2023 compared to 2022, while simultaneously reducing the consumption of energy, water, and resources. I am proud that out of the total headcount, as much as 55 percent of women work in our company, while 66 percent of them occupy management positions’, Seeliger pointed out.
