Hemofarm and University of Belgrade Together in Promoting Sustainable Development in Serbia
15. October 2024.
The University of Belgrade and the company Hemofarm today signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Rectorate to organize an exhibition on sustainable development and promote ESG initiatives in Serbia. The memorandum was signed by the rector of the University of Belgrade, Prof. Vladan Đokić, PhD and the CEO of Hemofarm, Ronald Seeliger. By signing this memorandum, Hemofarm and the University of Belgrade agreed, among other things, to jointly organize a seven-day ESG festival in Student City in Belgrade from October 22 to 27, 2024, which will feature the first multimedia interactive exhibition dedicated to sustainable development, ’STADA Expo.’

The Rector of the University of Belgrade, Prof. Vladan Đokić, PhD, said that this Festival will enable students of the University of Belgrade to raise their awareness and understanding of sustainable development, as well as to enhance cooperation between academic, business, and social communities.

’I invite all students, and the general public as well, to visit this exhibition so they can see something they haven't had the opportunity to see in our country before. This exhibition is at a very high technological level, and in a way designed to be as accessible to visitors as possible. I think this is a great opportunity for our students to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements in technological development, and above all to raise their awareness and knowledge about sustainable development,’ Prof. Vladan Đokić, PhD emphasized.

Hemofarm's CEO Ronald Seeliger emphasized that the company has been focusing on sustainable development for many years.

’We are very proud that the University of Belgrade has decided to partner with us. We expect an excellent ESG festival next week at Student City, organized by Hemofarm and the University of Belgrade, and I invite as many students as possible to visit this festival, as well as all other citizens, representatives of other companies, and numerous organizations that are interested in experiencing sustainable development in action,’ Seeliger stated.

The ESG Festival organized by Hemofarm, with the support of the University of Belgrade, will be held in Student City in New Belgrade from October 22 to 27. The festival will include numerous panels, roundtables, and workshops, with participation from representatives of various companies, media, and organizations, and a multimedia exhibition dedicated to sustainable development will be displayed on the plateau of Student City.
