Hemofarm Employees in Campaign ‘Tree for Belgrade’
04. March 2021.
Advocating sustainable values and ideas, Hemofarm employees supported the ‘Tree for Belgrade’ campaign by planting six seedlings on the right bank of the Sava River. On this occasion, together with the representatives of more than 30 member companies of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, they sent a clear message that by taking individual responsibility it is possible to make a significant step forward in the fight for a healthy environment both locally and globally.

‘Year after year, we try to inspire other companies and individuals with our example in order to encourage them to think more about their own impact on the environment. For us, sustainable development is not just a phrase, but it is a signpost for a healthier and safer future’, stated Dušan Stojaković, Sustainable Development and Corporate Marketing Manager at Hemofarm.

According to him, Hemofarm's commitment to achieving global goals of sustainable development is part of the company's essential efforts to contribute to a better society and environment.

‘Taking into account the fact that Hemofarm has been taking care of people's health in this area for more than 60 years, we decided to use this activity organized by AHK to plant six seedlings, symbolically choosing one for each decade of our company's successful business,’ Dušan added, emphasizing that his colleagues from various divisions in Hemofarm joined the campaign - marketing and sales, procurement and communications.

The campaign ‘Tree for Belgrade’, the basic idea of which is to raise awareness about environmental protection and the importance of each individual contribution, was organized by the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in cooperation with the City of Belgrade and PUC ‘Zelenilo – Belgrade’. During the one-hour program, a total of 329 seedlings were successfully planted.
