Hemofarm received an award from Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina for the contribution to the overall development of the economy in Vojvodina
18. April 2013.
Hemofarm is this year’s winner of Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina’s Award for contribution to the overall development of the economy in Vojvodina, and by this, of the entire Serbia. Ronald Seeliger, General Manager of Hemofarm, was presented with this award by Ratko Filipović, President of Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, at the gala ceremony in Novi Sad.

Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina’s Award was presented for the 50th time.

It is my honour and satisfaction to accept this award on behalf of Hemofarm. We are making medicines in Vršac not only for the entire Serbia, but also for a number of foreign markets. Last year, our production achieved record-breaking brilliant results. We made more than 3 billion tablets, i.e. 40% more than in 2011, 80 million ampoules, which is a growth of 30% in comparison to the previous year. We are especially proud of our impressive portfolio of 1,600 different products, which is one third more than in 2011. We will continue to improve our operations and to invest in Hemofarm, so our results could be even better’, Ronald Seeliger said.

This is a second award for Hemofarm this year, and third one in the past five months. In the beginning of April, Hemofarm won the award for corporate social responsibility from Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and at the end of last year, the company won SIEPA’s Best Exporter of 2012 Award.

Awards and numbers I mentioned speak more than words. Corporate social responsibility is in the very heart of Hemofarm, a company that measures its success not only by profit but also by contribution to the community in which it operates. We believe that where we do business, we should make our contribution. That is why we are always closely connected and have a solid cooperation with municipalities and organizations in Serbia and the region’, Ronald Seeliger concluded.

Hemofarm was established on June 1st, 1960. Since August 2006, it became a member of German STADA Group, a company that is fight largest manufacturer of generic medicines on the world rank list. With a 20% stake, Hemofarm is a leader on Serbian pharmaceutical market and biggest exporter of medicines from the country, which carries out more than 60% of its total sale on foreign markets.
