Hemofarm CEO, Ronald Seeliger has been appointed president of the Deutsch-Serbische Wirtschaftsvereinigung (German-Serbian Business Association) pursuant to the decision of the DSW’s Board of Directors.

Germany is one of the four biggest investors in Serbia, and DSW gathers more than 250 companies from Serbia and Germany. Moreover, Germany has invested some 1.3 billion in Serbia in total, and Germany’s biggest investors by volume of investment are STADA, Metro Cash&Carry, Messer and Henkel.

Apart from the new president, the current BoD of DSW includes businessmen: Tihomir Rajlić (Siemens), Thomas Urban (Dr Oetker), Nenad Vučinić (TeleSign Mobile), Bojan Predojević (Profine), Nikola Ivošević (Rehau), Christian Braunig (Confida Consulting), Aleksandar Marinković (TUI) and David Piegazky (Pluris). Aside from Michael Schmidt (Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Serbia), Economic Department Chief of the German Embassy in Belgrade will take part in the operating of the BoD.

At this point, 370 companies, which were founded by German legal entities, are operating in Serbia and they employ over 25,000 people.
