Hemofarm the 2012 Exporter of the Year

Today, Hemofarm has received the prestigious ‘2012 Exporter of the Year’, which has been presented for 8 years by SIEPA (Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency). At a ceremony in the Metropol Hotel, Božidar Laganin, Head of SIEPA presented the award to the CEO of Hemofarm, Ronald Seeliger.

The jury explained that Hemofarm was the biggest exporter of pharmaceutical products and the biggest net exporter from Serbia in the first nine months of this year, with export of 120 million EUR.

This is the third SIEPA award for Hemofarm. It received the Exporter of the Year award for the first time in 2006, in the year when it became a member of the STADA Group. In 2009, it received the second SIEPA award, for conquering a new export market.

‘It is such an honour to receive this prestigious award. The pharmaceutical products we export are present in 30 countries in 3 continents and our export amounts to over 60% of Hemofarm’s income. Constant strategic infrastructure investments point to our serious and long-term plans in Serbia. Thank you for recognizing our commitment to the development of the domestic pharmaceutical market and strengthening the domestic economy’, said Ronald Seeliger, CEO of Hemofarm, while accepting the award at the ceremony attended by representatives of the Serbian Government, state institutions, diplomatic corps and renowned entrepreneurs.

Besides the award for the best exporter, SIEPA presented awards in four more categories – SME category, Best Export Product, Conquering a New Export Market and a special award for the Best Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

SIEPA has been presenting the Exporter of the Year award since 2004 with the intention to motivate new export endeavours of domestic companies. The award also provides the exclusive right to the awarded companies to use the ‘Exporter of the Year’ logo in their promotional material.
