Hemofarm Receives the National Award ’28 April’ from the Ministry of Labour
28. April 2016.
Hemofarm is the winner of the National Award ’28 April’ for commitment to the values of occupational safety and health and spread of culture of prevention. This is the second year in a row that Hemofarm has received the recognition for care of the employees in one of the most sensitive and demanding industries.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration awarded legal entities, entrepreneurs and individuals at the ceremony held in ‘Atelje 212’on the occasion of celebration of 28 April – World Day of Safety and Health at Work. The CEO of Hemofarm, Ronald Seeliger pointed out that this company invested more than 300 thousand euros in trainings in this area every year, and it’s worth every euro.

‘This award is yet another proof confirming that Hemofarm has been the most sought-after employer in the field of pharmacy for several years. According to the statistics, we reduced injuries by 4.3% and recorded no occupational disease in 2014. To be precise, the highest degree of injury is a mild ankle sprain. We have not deserved such a status just because of regular salaries, which are of course the most important element in an employment relationship. The extent to which a company is sought-after is measured by the overall care of an individual, and for us it is a matter of strategic orientation’, Ronald Seeliger said.

Hemofarm employs 2.600 employees at several manufacturing sites in Vrsac, Sabac, Podgorica, Banja Luka and Belgrade. In each segment of its work Hemofarm implements all global standards of environmental protection and occupational safety and health management, and the highest level of safety is also confirmed by introducing the OHSAS 18001 standard. The award was received on behalf of Hemofarm by Milan Smoljanovic, director of the General Affairs Division and his associates. The Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Aleksandar Vulin also attended the ceremony.
