Customs Administration’s Recognition Awarded to Hemofarm
02. March 2017.
Hemofarm was granted World Customs Organization’s Recognition which Customs Administration awarded to Hemofarm for long-term cooperation, stable and reliable partnership. Customs Administration’s explanation states that Hemofarm has contributed to improving the business environment in Serbia, because together with the Customs Administration, it has implemented significant projects including ’Digital Customs’ as the most prominent one.

’Customs Administration’s Recognition is a confirmation of long-term quality cooperation. Hemofarm is a stable partner in foreign trade activities of Serbia and we thank the Customs Administration for recognizing that. Hemofarm is trying to be the best ambassador of the Serbian economy in 38 countries in which it sells high-quality products. Today's recognition as an expression of trust and support from a meaningful and important institution such as the Customs Administration certainly represents an additional incentive and obligation to achieve this goal’, Vesna Jungić, Director of Hemofarm Purchasing Division said.

Hemofarm was granted the Authorised Economic Operator status as the first company in Serbia by the Customs Administration in 2011, which gives the possibility of so-called ’In-house customs clearance’ within production facilities. In addition to speeding up customs procedures and sales in foreign markets, the Authorised Economic Operator status increases competitiveness of products and makes company's operations more efficient.

’The main objective of the Customs Administration is to be not only efficient and reliable partner to our economy and citizens, but also an employer who recognizes the contribution of employees. The World Customs Organization recognition, which we award, is a reflection of such efforts of ours and gratitude to all who contributed to achieving this goal in the previous period’, Veselin Milošević, Assistant Director-Coordinator pointed out and added: ’The benefits of simplified customs procedures for the Serbian economy have been manifested few years since their introduction, because costs of companies, which have the possibility of faster capital turnover now, have been reduced. In this way, the Customs Administration has continued supporting the economy, and has also contributed to the growth of budget revenues.’

Hemofarm is the leader in the local pharmaceutical market with a 74.5% share in total exports of pharmaceutical products, and the largest exporter of medicinal products from Serbia. It has been among top 10 exporters in Serbia for years. Foreign trade operations in Hemofarm are entrusted to highly educated, qualified and certified staff with more than 70 people from eight different business units of Hemofarm.
