30 Years of Hemofarm Foundation
26. September 2023.
Our Hemofarm Foundation marks 30 years of operation during which it implemented over 2,300 activities worth around 14 million Euro. Over the course of the past 30 years, Hemofarm Foundation has supported numerous healthcare institutions in Serbia through donations of medical devices and equipment, while implementing hundreds of projects and campaigns in the area of health, education and culture, in the effort to promote the health and the quality of life of the people in Serbia.

‘Ever since established, Hemofarm Foundation has been caring for peoples’ health and the quality of their lives. We have provided aid to hospitals, launched projects, campaigns, and actions in the area of health, invested in education and culture. We have fought against the prejudices associated with organ donation and mental health, because there is no compromise when it comes to fighting for life. Today, when we mark 30 years of existence, we are motivated more to continue to set an example in the community and inspire others. Only together we can strengthen the healthcare system in Serbia, drive the society towards the responsibility for one’s own health, motivate and mobilize the empathy and solidarity for the generations yet to come’, said Ronald Seeliger, CEO Hemofarm, on the occasion of the Foundation’s jubilee.

Remarkable and most publicly extinguished projects of Hemofarm Foundation include the ‘Most Important Call in Life’ promoting the importance of organ donation, the ‘Unbreakable’ campaign for fighting depression and stigma, the project of psycho-social support to population ‘A Cup of Coffee with a Psychologist’, as well as the Program for Education ‘You Can Do It’ that has supported 3,720 students to date.

Upon the initiative of Hemofarm Foundation, the ‘Unbreakable’ SOS line for fighting depression 0800 001 002 has been set up, engaging the psychologists and psychiatrists of the four Special Hospitals for Psychiatric Diseases in Vršac, Kovin, Novi Kneževac and Gornja Toponica, through which more than 17,000 people have been supported over the course of the last two years.

Hemofarm Foundation has received numerous recognitions for its social responsibility efforts in the last 30 years, and in the last eight and a half years alone, it has received over 40 awards at the national, regional and European level.
